Looks nice but I bet they cost more than $39.00 shipped!

Super easy, just cut all your glass mat in strips or whatever shape you need before you mix the resin. The rest is like first grade paper machay. I guess i spelled that right. Anyway you get the picture. Once you mix the harder in you only have about 15-20 minutes working time. Good luck.

Im working on a mold, i should have a few ready in a fews weeks. Im trying to get the cost down, the materials are fairly inexpensive but they are very labor entensive. When making my own that wasnt an issue, but for resale it really drives up the price so im in the process of shortening the manufacturing time to make them very affordable. I will keep everyone posted.

Great job! Upgrading the audio system is on my to do list and this would be perfect! I wonder if your mold would work with the 2nd gens.

Hey Renhalt, I see you're not too far away from me. I'd be willing to meet up if you want to test fit so you can sell them for both generations.

Good deal. PM me when you get it done and a price. Thanks

I would love a box.
Please let me know when I can give you money!
:-)

I am really liking this design. I have done a few fiberglass boxes in the past and I am thinking this would be cool with a single 12" sub running off an Alpine PDX class D mono amp. I am torn on another 5 channel amp but don't want the stereo install to get carried away (even though it probably will).

My mini cooper S I traded in on this had a PDX5 amp, Focal door speakers, and an alpine 12" sub in the back floor.

anyone else want to chime in on tapping into the rear door speaker vice the stock bose sub signal? does anyone know the frequency range going to both speakers? also, how exactly did you tap in? was kinda confused by your post.

also, since you only used one signal from the door speaker, did you use speaker wire inputs on your amp? and how did you take one signal (pos, neg) and make it into a left and right, which most subs need?
