Hello again all
Some of you may remember my quest on finding an fx50s. Well my quest is over. I bought a 2011 FX50S. Black. Not the color I truly wanted but I think I can live with it. I actually wanted the Malbec black with Mocha interior but I think Ill be just fine with my black on black
Shes a beaut. Ill post pics soon. What a car. I have a few questions to the board and also any advice you may have. I plan t do some upgrades in the future. Nothing too major. I want to keep the car as close to original as possible. here goes:
Keeping in mind also I dont want to void my warranty.
- What kind of engine mods are worth it? (Once again nothing major. talking intakes and possible chips)
- Does anyone know how to get out those annoying water spots off w\o having to polish? (On hood and passenger driverside window even after washing)
- If I were thinking about lowering vehicle about an inch or less what concerns should i have (ex warranty. vehicle electronics malfunctioning, etc)
- I will be tinting the driver\passenger windows to match rest of car. i was thinking of putting a band on the top pf windshield but dont want to chance messing with the camera up there.
- I possibly want to change all the bright chrome to black chrome
- why arent the tail lights smoked or cleared and where can I find these?
- possible muffler upgrade. Any tuner mufflers out there thats not the standard round exhaust pipe. Looking for maybe a flange or angle cut
- If upgrading wheels are 24" wheels too big? will this throw off the dynamics or computer of the vehicle?
These are some questions looming in my head right now. thanks for any inout you may have. Meanwhile Im enjoying this ICC and also the Sport shift mode with paddle shifters. Sweet
What configuration is best for everyday driving? DCA, IBA, ICC, VDC, Sport or Auto mode
Oh yeah one more gripe\concern. This is my daily driver. I noticed on my M3 my leather seats got worn out pretty fast especially on the part of the seat that supports the leg closest to the door. When coming in and out of vehicle that part is abused time and time again. i try not to sit on it when entering exiting vehicle to cut down on the premature wear. Im not fat by the way. You would think they would reinforce this area of the seat being that it takes more abuse.
