pulstar plugs

Location
calgary
Just installed these in my fx45 a couple weeks ago i have gained 1 mgp in the city. averaging 15mpg with a pretty heavy foot. im up to 22mpg on highway going 70mph. both of these results were based on one full tank aproximately 20 gallons at fill up per test. as not to mix resullts. I bought my set of 8 off of ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Puls...ryZ33693QQihZ017QQitemZ270228103501QQtcZphoto

Can any one tell me how to post pics. Ive done a driller rotor install and would like to show results. Thanks.:xd::xd:

Pulse plugs are a radical departure from spark plugs. Pulse plugs incorporate a pulse circuit, which stores incoming electrical energy from the ignition system and releases the stored energy in a powerful pulse of power. Instead of 50 watts of peak power typical of all spark plugs, pulse plugs deliver up to 10 times more peak power. It takes electrical power to light fuel. The more power (watts) the better.

Pulsed Power Technology is the science of storing power for a relatively long period of time and then discharging the stored power in an instantaneous pulse of energy. Installing Pulsed Power Technology in a performance auto part increases horsepower while at the same time increasing gas mileage! That's right - you no longer have to give up gas mileage to increase the power and productivity of your car or truck!

A simple way to think about the Pulsed Power Technology behind pulse plugs is that it is similar to a camera flash, whereas spark plug technology is more like a flashlight. A camera flash is exponentially brighter than a flashlight even though they both may use the same battery.

Ignition velocity refers to the growth of the combustion flame front, the speed of which determines the amount of energy released from the fuel. The greater the amount of ignition energy the larger the spark. The larger the spark the more efficiently your engine can operate to produce horsepower or, inversely, better fuel economy.

Dave @ Modified Magazine did a review on these on G35Driver.com on a 350z with only 1,200 miles...surely not enough to clog up the oem spark plugs. these pulstar plugs picked up gains throughout the whole rpm range...over 5 pulls they averaged a gain of 10whp, with 11whp being the highest.

others have done independent dynos and see gains from 3-10whp

they are doing further testing on different motors to see if the effects are the same.

I've also read that these gave an irregular idle and several stalls on a 350z.. Also read that their gains were just above 1-2 hp over other brands' plugs in a separate test.. The thread on my350z on this is pretty detailed.. Overall, I think it's not worth spending that much for plugs that'll last much less than others.. That's my .02..

all i know is that i went from 13mpg in city to 15. so that being said , they pay for themselves in 6 months. i was skeptical but I need new plugs anyways and the platinum ones i wanted were 10$ a piece so for an extra 100$ or so i now get better gas mileage. every little bit counts since gas is 1.27$ per liter for premium. or about 5$ a gallon. 100$ a fill and now i get 500km a tank not 430km. thats an extra 70km or about a 14% increase, in the city and i have a heavy foot.

I wonder if Enerpulse will let some of our Mods try a free :top: set of plugs do we can give them a review. If it works out we can "help" other make a informed choice.
