I have been trying get rid of code P0507 on my recently purchased 2004 Infinity FX45 for several weeks now with no luck. The code came on a day after I replaced the spark plugs and cleaned the throttle body. I go thru the procedure outlined on this forum and the Nissan forum and nothing happens. It idles ate around 900 rpm. The light never blinks, it just stays on. I tried it with the P0507 cleared this morning and the "Service engine soon" light came back on. It was the P0507 again. Does this mean I have to take it to the dealer? I have a son who is a mechanic and he says it needs to be hooked to a computer that only the dealer has. Is there anything else I can do? What causes this?

Make sure all air hoses are connected and no air leak. The throttle body control actuator might be stuck.
I would go over ALL the electrical connector, perhaps disconnect and reconnect all of them again. Make sure the air hose on the bottom side of the intake tube is snug. Sure hope is not the throttle body actuator.

I just checked all of the connections and they are fine. I read in fxlr8s post that the car has to be driven for 15 minutes or the procedure will not work for relearning the throttle position. I have never done this. Other posts refer the MIL light blinking. I assume that is the same as "Service engine soon" light. Mine has never blinked. I will try going for a drive and then retry. Should I clear the code before?

For the few times that the "Service Engine Soon" lit up for various code that I have had in the past events, it never blinked. It simply stay lit until the problem is fix or I clear it with a code scanner via the OBD II connector. Where

I conquered the pedal dance as you called it. The problem was the AC was on. View attachment 243216 I turned it off and it worked on my first try. View attachment 243219 I missed the part about the "load switch"
Before performing “Idle Air Volume Learning”, make sure that all of the following conditions are satisfied.
Learning will be cancelled if any of the following conditions are missed for even a moment.
Battery voltage: More than 12.9V (At idle)
Engine coolant temperature: 70 - 100°C (158 - 212°F)
PNP switch: ON
Electric load switch: OFF
(Air conditioner, headlamp, rear window defogger)
On vehicles equipped with daytime light systems, set lighting switch to the 1st position to light
only small lamps.
Steering wheel: Neutral (Straight-ahead position)
Vehicle speed: Stopped
Transmission: Warmed-up

My engine now idles around 500 rpm and I saved a tripe to the dealer. My thank to everyone who posted all the info.
