Pretty impressed with my gas mileage!

I've had my FX for a couple of months now and just took it on its' first real road trip; a 1200 mile round trip from Columbus to Atlanta. Was curious as to how the highway mileage would compare as to local MPG. I've been getting 13-15 on local tanks due to a heavy foot. On my road trip, last tank averaged 21.8 miles at an average speed of 72.8. 380 miles on the tank and I refilled 17.4 gallons of 93 octane.

Wondering if the premium makes that big a difference or if the new Paradas make a significant difference. Overall pretty impressed as it was a loaded down car with a family of five in it and luggage from the trip.

Ya, get's decent milage when you baby it.

Premium is the only gas to put in the FX. Even city driving you get better MPGs, meaning it's actually cheaper to go with premium. I've never put anything else in my car and I also drive with a heavy foot. City for me with 93 octane has been right at 18 mpg for the last five years, with improvements for some of the mods I have made.

Impressing numbers you got there, I too fill her up with premium fuel only. And yet, I average about 10-11 MPG. However, all my driving is city and I do have a heavy foot.

The best part is, I fill her up about once every 1.5-2 weeks lol. I don't drive a lot I know . So, I can't really complain now could I lol :P

I do even better

I fill up once in about 22 days. and one morning on my way to work, I noticed this at 45mph. Don't know what to make of it. I usually get 14 mpg but the display was so strange I had to take a pic.

The FX Is good on milage when you take care of it.. I was getting 13-14 city and 16-18 hwy. So I decided to use fuel additive and it improved a bit. As soon as I changed my spark plugs it when up from 15-16 city and like 19-25 hwy.
