Power seat motor started smoking today !HELP!

So today I was parked and I saw smoke coming from under my seat I took a look and touched the seat motor that slides the seat back & fourth and it burned me it was very hot does anyone know what could've caused this so I unplugged it has this happend to anyone ?

Does your seat move back and forth everytime you close or open your door? if it does prob the motor is burnt out.
