Power Outlet Removal?

Does anyone know how to remove the power outlet that's in the lower dash? I have a 2006 FX35 and have already removed the "ash" tray/power outlet module from the dash(right below the clock) but have no idea how to remove the power outlet. Anyone?

What you need to do is..

1. put the E brake on
2. pop out the clock from the side.
3. put your gear in "N"
4. Slide the little ring under the shift knob DOWN.
5. Remove the silver clip (put in a safe place)
6. pull the shift knob up (slides right up)
7. pull the whole center console up.
8. then you will have access to the outlet.
