Powder Coating Rims Feedback

I considered powder coating but after reading about others experiences with the wheel shakes I opted to go with paint. I am really happy with how they came out and they have been holding up really well so far, even through the nasty Indiana winter. Besides the whole wheel shake issue I like the fact that with paint, if I get a scratch or chip it can be touched up where with powder, the whole wheel needs to be redone. Here are some pics of how mine came out.

where did u get ur rims powder coated in indiana? and how much was it?

I just got my rims powder coated gloss black to match my FX, and I couldn't be happier with the results. No shake or other issues, and I really haven't had them long enough to see what cleaning will be like. The guy did tell me that I can wax them, though, to make cleaning easier.

I just had my rims powdercoated also. In the picture they have a few days of dirt on them, but they look beautiful when they're clean. I got semi-gloss black, had the center caps painted to match and all of them were done same day. The sheen is nice even when they're dirty, they dont look spray painted at all. No wheel shake or scratches..yet. We will see how they hold up.

What was the total cost on powdercoat or paint for the wheels? I've got someone quoting me $450.00 for powdercoat. Wondering if that is reasonable.

Everything is included in the $450
So powder coating rims makes them shake? What makes that happen?
My guess is bad powder coating leading to an uneven coverage and unbalanced wheels.
