Potentially blown engine - losing coolant - HELP!

It was replaced under the extended warranty at the dealer. I just paid for the deductible. Funny thing is that they screwed up too! I saw a pool of liquid under the car, it was a bit oil but not oil. So I took it back to them this morning and they said they had to tighten a rad fastener or something along those lines (was too pissed to listen over the phone). Going to pick it up tomorrow.

I don't enjoy liking this as I'm not happy about the b.s. you went through but consider taking more of everything into your own hands.

I would, but I couldn't have done the rad replacement. Did a lot of reading as to the symptoms of cylinder head/ gasket issues and did some tests to eliminate it. The coolant level stabilized after filling it a couple of times. I'm guessing as @shadow191 said it was not bled properly. No flushing noise can be heard anymore.
I kept an eye on the coolant and oil level (dip stick/viscocity) and even smelt the dip stick to make sure it doesnt smell too much like gas or anything else thats not supposed to be there. Checked under the car to make sure there are no "damp" spots - something I observed when the steering rack was sweating and was replaced under warranty. Plugged in a reader to make sure the water temp does hit 93 degrees where the fan would start and it never did. So I knew the temp sensor was working because it was giving me sensible readings. The only other thing that could have had an issue would be the fan itself where it has a separate temperature relay and I had no idea how to test that.

I tried doing all the due diligence and make my own sense of what I read, tested and heard from mechanics. But at the end of the day I had to take it in because its still under warranty and the dealer actually fixed something for a change. Too bad that every time I go in to them to have something fixed I come out with 1 or 2 additional issues lol

Good points. I'm not critisizing you, just giving encouragement. Wish I had someone to kick me in the nutz when I failed a valve body mod. Was within my power to fix but I panicked.
