This is after a 1 step compound. I still have 1 polish step, then 2 coats of sealant and a coat of wax to go. They always say the polish is what makes the finish, not the wax, but this is the first time I've ever seen it with my own eyes.

I'd love to, but this can take a long time. FX hasn't moved in 24 hours now I think, and still won't move for another 18 or so. This is by far the two longest parts though. Yesterday I spent 3-4 hours just washing it off and claying the surface, and did the compounding today over about 3-4 hours. Probably another 5 hours to do the quick final polish and the coats of sealant and wax.

I'm sure it can be done faster, but since I can take my time to get everything perfect, I am. Some of this is also for me to test products and their look and durability when layered, as well as how well they clean up after the drive to CA.

So how long something like this would last? Till the next carwash?:confused.:

3-4 months, maybe longer. I'll just do my no rinse wash every couple weeks.

This is after the first coat of sealant. And yeah JD, I wanted to get tints but the guy was too hard to get a hold of, and CA has terrible tint laws.
