Possible to upgrade stock subwoofer components and retain factory look?

Hello all. I did some searching and some users had hinted at the idea of replacing the 2 small subwoofers and the amp in the spare tire sub box to upgrade the bass output. Is this possible? I'd like to retain the stock look but get a better BUMP out of the system.

A bunch of people have had custom subwoofer boxes installed in the spare tire area, retaining the factory "looks" in the trunk.

You can replace them with kicker 6.5" subs. I beleive they fit but im not 100% sure. This is what i plan on doin soon and throwing an aftermarket amp on them

So what exactly can you do to increase bass but keep factory look in the trunk? Replace with two 6.5" subs or can you put a 12" in there?

You can do this. I would said this DIY will bump the base to a 3 or 4 on a 1 - 10 scale. Don't expect it to shakes any windows though. I did it to two FXes and I do hear the added base.
