I've always heard that cops target imports more then American muscle cars. I could bet that some of these cops have cars that are modified. I'd be pissed if I got jacked a few blocks away and no cop shows up because he's too busy telling someone his headlights are too blue.

Despite labeling the parking lot raid as taking place at a "street racing venue," Riverside Police offered no evidence that any street racing actually took place.

what a bunch of BS...honestly. its a good strategy by the cops to target meets where they can probably pop a lot of people for violations but man what a bitch move...

thats ridiclous, nothing better to do, then hand out tickets and get money, they don't understand its a passion , and just because you have engine mods and have more power doesnt nesscarily mean you street race, its something you put your own blood and sweat into , but they don't realize that, but also the owners of the cars should be responsible enough to have there plates and what not , and not take it to the next level, there just asking to get booked

police everywhere are the same .. hate 'em ..
nowadays checkpoints are everywhere in weekends .. they mostly target cars with dark window tinting which is above the percentage allowed (30%) .. and of course modified cars, they even consider lowering the car as engine modification !!!! WTH .. lol

in Dubai the fine for tinting above the limit is around $260 and the car gets detained for 1 month .. in Abu Dhabi (the capital city) the fine is around $2660 with the car in cars "jail" as we call for around 2 months .. its crazy ..

i used to have full dark window tinting .. 70% side/back windows and 40% front .. it looked sick .. lol loved it .. but got too many tickets around 4 or 5 but managed not to have my car detained .. now .. no tints ..

I once was stopped years ago by LAPD for tinted windows. He told me he was gonna bash out my rear window if I hadn't turned on my interior lights because he couldn't see into my car. I've never tinted my windows on any car after that.

Hey, Will better watch out......looks like Baldwin Park and Irwindale PD were in on this raid.

My goodness .. talk about nothing better to do! I'm not @ all in support of what they do but with our current economic situation, I guess they are trying to figure ways to generate more funds to the state.

Still bull$4!7 tho if you ask me. I have friends that are cops , shoot, my best friend is a cop but they dont just start ticketing around here just because they're gathered and talking about their rides. Unless someone complains, they'll just tell them to vacate the premises and that's it.

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"If you're not into street racing, why would you need that?" Riverside Police Traffic Sergeant Skip Showalter asked an enthusiast during a similar crackdown last year. "Why would you want more power going to your car?"
Hmm... ionno... MAYBE WHEN I TAKE IT TO THE TRACK?

There is such a thing as legal racing ya know... maybe Nascar doesn't reach the West? :4tongue:
