Please check my purchase

OK I will call Retrofit and explain the issue and see what they say. For now I have taken the both new bulbs out, put the one old/good one in and the other headlamp just pushed the igniter and wires back in and re-capped it. I'll post back with any new info. Thanks everyone for all the help :good:
 
Ok. Here's an update. Called Retrofit and explained everything and i was told to send them back for a credit and purchase the factory phillips D2S bulbs 4300k. He said our cars are very picky. So planning on getting the order in tonite and return for credit tmrw.

I would personally go for the Osram 66240CBI bulbs, they're pure white compared to that yellow the philips (stock) bulbs give. If you're not interested with the color of the light output. The Philips bulbs @ $95 a set is your best bet. The Osram bulbs give a 5000K output. I have them and love them.

Oh btw, I wouldn't leave the igniter sitting inside one of the headlights without it being plugged into a bulb. What you can do is unplug the cable from the ballast that sits under that headlight so the igniter doesn't arc inside your headlight housing when you turn your lights on. Its better than leaving no bulb or a bad bulb inside that can hurt the ballast/igniter.
 
I have used the 6000K d2s bulbs from ddmtuning.com. You can try their 5000K. At one time lot member on here using them. As matter of fact, my BIL still running my old ddm bulbs in his FX35.

Careful who you buy the Osram 66240CBI from. There're so many fake ones out there
 
Got the Phillip 4300 replacements in the mail today from Retrofit, swapped them out and everything works great. I want to thank everyone that posted up and helped me out :good:. BTW, I have a little trick that helped me to swap the bulbs out. I used a 10 inch piece of flexible picture hanging wire, made a very small "U" at the end and lifted the spring clip. Once it was up and out of the way, I bent it to hold on a hose or a corner of something so I could concentrate better on the task. Alot better then trying to use 2 hands in there.
