Plastidip Glossifier

Awesome I just asked a question on here relating to this. Great stuff to know! Where can I find this stuff, and how durable is it?

Seen plasti dip in person and it looks like shit. No matter how good you spray it the stuff looks blotchy and cheap looking. I blame it for being liquid rubber and not even paint at all. Only positive thing about it is that it's removable. Other than that looks shitty.

i have had no issues with plasti dip. i did my wheels last summer and they still holding up pretty well. BTW, im in the northeast, that means snow, salt, cold, moisture.... im actually impressed with this product, in fact ill be doing my roof on black and my interior trim in red pretty soon.

make sure to post pics of your roof when you do it....I'm actually interested as well and like to see how it turns out. I hear though that it doesn't last long from the sun.

Any shots of the wheels with it after a summer and winter?

has anyone here personally done it on their emblems? how did it turn out?

a few guys here have and I think they like it a lot otherwise they would have removed it. Hanjo being one of them.

I originally did my wheels in Feb of '11. In November I had to get new tires installed, and inevitably, they peeled as I figured (due to the process). Otherwise, the stuff held up fine over the 9 months. In December, I stripped and reapplied again, until the next time I need tires. To each their own, there are plastidip haters out there, but for $25 and the ability to remove, I think it's great.

I think Im gonna see if home depot has it and try it out to see how it works. I'll probably start with the front grill and see how it comes out.

My grille was done in August. Still looks good.

just did my grille today... came out nice and even but it is definitely textured a little... is it supposed to be like this?

Used it on my grille as well, 8 months and no sign of it peeling off, however I did spray a single layer of clear coat over it, since I hate how dirt gets into it and I just want to be able to wash it without spending too much time on erasing water marks and dirt. I like it better than just paint, it gives that very settled texture.

Yes it had that textured look to it. What I noticed about plastidip is the more layers you put down the easier it'll peel. So of you're planning to leave it on for a while spray the least possible layers/times

Went to ace to day to kill some time. They had the black plasti dip, what looked like a clear coat (not the glossifier) and then another like foggy clear one? Anyone see those before? Or use any
