Plasti dip removal

Alright so I plasti dipped my grille 2 months or so ago, I posted it. and well.. I want to remove it.
For one, because while I waxed my car with Nu Finish, just a bit got on it.
and two, because I want have the chrome look again for this Christmas.

I tried to see if I could peel it off.. but.... apparently, my coat is LOW... as in my coat was light,
it's probably due to the fact I did this at night,so I couldn't see if I actually coated it thick enough or evenly.

So, is there anything that can remove this plasti dip and not harm my chrome finish? Or would I need to use more elbow grease... via fingernails? lol

Try a little rubbing alcohol or acetone. Btw who paints at night? Lol

goo gone, also pb blaster takes it off instantly

I used a coin op spray car wash to remove mine from my wheels I just went to town with the pressure washer-it worked great

I wouldn't use pb blaster. Those stuff so strong it melts plastic cups.

thats what i thought, but i was doing a break job trying to get my rotors off, the pb blAster accidentally got on the rims, i wiped it instantly and took the whole paint off.

LOLOL it's because I already had cans of plasti dip and I read the topic about plasti dipping the grille, it seemed like an easy mod so I thought I'd do it.
The mod was itching at me that night, so I did it. But I'll have to buy acetone regardless since I can't clean my fog light housing with soap and water.

You think that will work on a light coated plasti dip grille? I know it'll work on a thick coated plasti dip since that's easier to remove.

I have no idea. It worked on mine. Not sure if it was thick or thin. Try it. You will be out $1-2 at the most

True. Alright, I'll just rub goo gone all over it, then hose it down with the pressure washer.

Try to stay away from the rough side of a kitchen sponge. It will easily scratch the chrome.

Exactly. I don't want to use any harsh abrasives.. since I'm trying to keep my chrome still looking new. If I didn't care for the chrome finish, then I'd get to scrubbing for sure.
