I finally found a set of wheels for the winter. My question is, if I plasti dip the wheels for the winter and do 4-5 coats, do you guys think it will protect them against the elements? I have never used plasti dip but I would think that if they were coated well they should protect them as it forms a good barrier. Also for those of you that have used it, does it REALLY peel off as people say it does when your ready to take it off?

Peels off pretty easy. The more coats the easier to remove imo. It should be fine in winter as long as you don't scrape it up against ice or use a power washer on them.

umm if you leave it on for too long and constantly take it through automated car washes. It will start eating through coats. Ive had mine pdipped almost 2 years.

Ive had my grille plasti dipped not my wheels but it holds up just fine and when I take it to the car wash I use the high pressure wash on it and it never peels or chips.
