Plasti Dip Project..

Yes it's a very good visualizer tool. But I disagree that it looks cheap. I like how it looks a lot more than flat black paint. Just my thought

Flat paint is just as bad haha if you want that look, go satin black....Flat black just looks awful. Imay buy some tomorrow to use it as a visualizer....

I just watched my vid on the computer. Damn it makes one annoying noise removing the stuff lol

I am curious about more experiences with Plasti dip to fix the faded window trim. Is it possible and if so, it it worth it?

That's what I was going to try to do, but it looks best painted gloss black imo and done professionally....I played around with plastidip and really didnt like the finish.

either way its best to take it all off to paint, which is a PITA.
Im probably just going to have it done at Turbocad's shop:tup:

Better to go with gloss paint. I used Krylon Fusion gloss on mine last April and has held up really well, even with winter. Looks really good and has a little orange peel, but I did not prep it well. When I did it, I spent four hours masking the car with tape. It really sucked. The top parts actually pop out for easy prep and painting. If I were to do it again, I would buy all four pieces brand new from infinitipartsusa.com and then get them repainted at a body shop. Actually, I plan getting the chrome window trim ultimately.

well really its best to take anything off to paint it, especially when its located smack dab in the middle of the car/windows. just masking it off will leave an edge that may peel....
and eyah they dent easily

This thread inspired me to use the plastic dip on my bike. Thought id share what i did.

Just painted stripes on the side fairings to break up the yellow. The top and bottom are full carbon pieces. Now it looks like a bumble bee.
