Plasti Dip Grill Results!

The top pic was 4 coats in. I used a total of 6 coats. There were many places i needed to touch up. For better Results use plasti dip in a warm climate. If you're in NY, You're not gonna get the full effect right now. They say, for full effect, 70 degrees fahrenheit.
These are my results. I took it in my boiler room which is around 55 degrees. it came out okay. Not amazing. When it gets warmer, i'll redo it.

Looks good. Black grills always look good on such a sporty car. Nice thing is if you like it enough you can go to the permanent solution and paint it. :good:
 
My plastidip results...
I really like how the Mercedes aluminum grill and handles look, so I experimented today. I used Plastidip Clear over the oem chrome handles, rear badges and grill. I didn't like how the grill came out so I'm going to redo that, but here is a pic of my results.

Looks great! I did the same to my handles and rear chrome a little bit back, definitely like it better. Good choice, looks really nice against the white.

Thanks guys, smijus my tip is the closer your spray can is.. The smoother the texture becomes. Obviously you don't want like 2inches away but more like 5-6 inches vs the 10-12 inches on the instructions. When I first did my grill I did about 8- 10 inches and the result more of a textured finish, almost like poorly done powder coat.
