Pistons and connecting rods

Hello everyone,

My question is: Do I keep stock compression if i want to add pistons and connecting rods to my already stillen stage 4 set up.

Also do u guys with experiance reccommend changing to lighter pistons and rods with the stillen stage 4 or leave it be..Would the benefits be worth the money or not.

Any input would be great..Thanx to the best site and people..Cheers

Stillen supercharger is low boost, no need to lower compression ratio. Low power application, no need to swap out pistons or rods if you have a proper tune.

Lowering compression ratio will cause you to lose power.

Hi bud Thanx for your views..but what do you mean by getting a good tune instead of swapping out the pistons and rods..What gets tuned...Please enlighten me..Thanx

You can have a custom tune performed to adjust the air fuel ratio and many other engine operating perameters controlled by the engine computer. By having it tuned the engine can run optimally producing more power and running safer if done properly.

I know the last post was a couple months ago, but I thought this thread would help explain the benefit of a tune.

I looked into doing engine internals - pistons, rods, cams & springs, but found it was not necessary with goals of about 400whp on the FX. I used the 350Z forum as the place for most of my research.
