2015 QX70S
Hi folks,

I recently gave my wife's '15 QX70S a deep cleaning, coating/sealant, and dressing and decided some photos were in order. I also just put the brakes on and gave it an alignment and oil change. It has some modest upgrades that I think have really rounded out the car. I know it's cliche, but the car really could have come with this stuff from the factory. There's not much else out there that really interests me, this still feels good/fun and has all the technology we need so I think we'll keep it for a couple more years (we've had it since new, ~32K on it now).

Akebono Sport Brakes (Stoptech drilled rotors & street pads)
Pirelli Scorpion Verde 275s, H&R 15mm Rear Spacers
Cusco Strut Tower Brace
K&N Air Filters
Osram CBIs, Nokya Yellow Foglights, Morimoto License LEDs
Llumar Front/Side Ceramic Tint (to match the rear)
Aluminum Short Antenna

Any questions, let me know! Cheers,

Thanks, guys!
Unfortunately no shots of the direct rear that day, but I can try to snap some soon! Are you curious about the fitment of the 15mm spacer + 275s?

The black mirrors and wheels and very attractive tires stands out and your car looks very nice. Well appreciate you posting this and the antenna tip. I never thought about it. Saw yours and ordered one and got it today and shorter antenna looks great. Thanks

^ Glad you like it! Shorter antenna is a nice touch for sure.

The car recently crossed 33K so I gave it another oil change and rotated the tires (and swapped the Morimoto license plate LEDs for Osrams - way better!).

I also just drove the car from SF to Seattle and back. I was going to take my M3, but the forecast said mostly rain so I took the QX and am glad I did! With good brakes, tires, and lights, this thing covers some serious ground in inclement weather! It was really in its element (pun intended) and was a great cruiser, comfortable but poised and capable of maintaining a quick pace (11hrs door to door!).

Coming up: Another oil change, a serving of Techron concentrate, another tire rotation, cleaning the air filters, new cabin filters, and full detail/coating. I'm also thinking of trying different brake pads, and of painting the wheels silver. 5 years in, getting an itch to mix it up. Hmmm ....

How do you like the stoptech rotors? I just ordered the Akebono calipers and I can’t decide on rotors and pads. I like the look of drilled rotors, but is it worth the extra money? I’m in MN, so I’m also trying to prevent any rust.

Power stop makes a Geomet coated rotor kit to prevent rust, but they have the OEM look.. hmmm

If you want a racey look, dont discount slotted stoptechs. Form & Function
