Petition Nissan/Infiniti for fix of escutcheon?

Since this is well known problem....I wunder if we can petition Nissan/Infiniti to find a fix for our escutheon's. If you do not know, this a weakness in our cars design and a break-in point...and thieves know this!

My 2005 Mazda 3 had a known weakness too....if you kicked the passenger door really hard in a certain spot, "pop" the door unlocked....causing a lot of dented doors. Mazda owners petitioned, and were able to get a fix for this by the factory. Now since mid 2007, all Mazda 3's have this safety device installed....and you can't hit that spot anymore and get the doors to unlock.

Since this is a know weak spot by thieves on the FX.. I wunder if we can do the same.

edit: went back to my old mazda 3 forums and found that this had turned into a class action lawsuit.

Im sure infiniti is not the only cars that do this lexus as well.

I Deleted mines but I will join the list, anything to fix a problem. I am sure they thought it was cool back then when they thought about it but it is not when you use anything to do it. KEYLESS ALL THE WAAAAAAY
 
yes, Im in.

"Infiniti please disable the window power down function on the driver side door key hole. Hopefully they will keep the remote (key fob) window down feature."
 
i'm down... think i'm going to order the escutcheon in a couple weeks after reading several post... humberto did a good DIY somewhere around here...

LOOL its mainly everyone sign there names so that we can try to get something fixed on the car that the company didnt do
for example for like say our bulbs in the car keep going out like every month or so and we need to keep buying the bulbs because they burn out
well we will make a petition stating that the bulbs suck and that we need longer lasting bulbs in the car
so the manufactures would make new cars with longer lasting bulbs in them and then they would send out new bulbs to dealerships and they would do a recall and stuff to get the new product in there cars

i think thats how it goes

lol i think he meant the word escutcheon and not petition.. its basically the keyhole for the driver side door.. many of us have installed a protective metal piece called the escutcheon to prevent thieves from trying to pick the lock..

please correct me if im wrong..

Thanks man. I actually meant the word "Infiniti" though.
