Hi guys,

Posted a thread on infinitifx.org a couple of weeks ago but surprisingly got no response so now i will try it here.

I need to know if there are any aftermarket/performance or racing radiators for our FX35. The ones stated for the G35 and 350Z won't fit(Been tried) I have an 06 supercharged FX35 with all the coolers but need an upgrade with the radiator.

Any brands, prices or where to purchase them would be fantastic.

Thank you all very much.

I know rookie has changed out his radiator but I do not know which brand but I'm pretty sure it was for a G. There are no direct bolt on racing radiators that will fit the fx, but with a little modification I'm sure one of the G's will fit.

Yep - I looked into this as well. Nothing is made direct-bolt up, but several Universal radiators would work with simple custom brackets. Any shop you would trust with installation should be able to handle bracket fab.

The lower mounts are the same as a G35 as far as spacing. Our engine bays are deeper so the G radiators are a bit short, I run a PWR radiator for the G35 which is one of the better fitting radiators out there for the G. The lower pins fit good, upper mounts are not uses in my config, we use the condenser bolt points in place of the upper mounts.

You can see the radiator here.

A while back I was looking into a Koyo radiator. It should fit with minimal modification to brackets.

As for why you didn't get much of a response (if any) from infinitifx.org... they're more geared towards Infiniti press releases, regular maintenance, dealership experiences and off-topic chat

I almost ordered a Z radiator till i decided to do a surch on this here at the scene. Glad i did.

I found the following specs in wide x height x width:

G: 28,69 x 15,75 " x 1,59"

Z: 28,69 x 15,75" x 1,59

FX: 28,69" x 17,69" x 1"

I got these specs from the Koyo website. Thing is in aftermarket stuff these size change. So has Mishimoto a radiator for a G with sizes: 30" x 21" 2,7" and for a Z 29,7" x 21" x 1,92"

So these aftermarket versions are wider then the standard spec. And i was doubting if they will fit the FX.

And i see a difference in spec on the koyo website with A/T and M/T there seem to be 2 little connectors of something on the bottem end for A/T.

I wanted to buy the mishimoto kit for a Z along with the Aluminium shroud with 2 fans of each 12", but when messuring i say that we already have 2 fans of 14" oem and also some sort of shroud from plastic.

Rookie, do you have a shroud and do you have the G coupe or Sedan version....??

I measured mine looking to go with a custom radiator & I came up with ~30" max width & almost 20" for height max for a custom application. anything wider won't fit between the frame rails. you don't have to stick with a koyo or any "made for" the g's/z's really, you can use just about anything you want as long as it fits there & has the right inlet & outlet config & as long as you can figure out a mounting solution for whatever you wind up choosing, but mounting a radiator isn't such a hard thing to figure out no matter what you pick really. if you want as easy as possible though then stick with a g/z application, only drawback is you wind up paying more for less going that route... benefit is should be able to keep existing hoses & at least 2 of the 4 mounts should line up out of the box

And what about the transmission cooling....?? As i think you ( Viet ) already had the radiator in when you still were A/T. How did you changed that...??

Koyo doesn't offer any radiators for A/T so need to adres that also.

I thought doing it true the Z/G way was the easy way but it is just another hassle. I'm doubting if it 'll bring me that much more that it is worth doing....

PWR G35 radiator has trans fluid reservoir in the bottom. Do not get a Mishimoto, they make crap parts that barely fit the car they are made for. PWR one has had bad fitment reports too though, fit mine ok. lol

And what about koyo then...?? Price technically mishimoto was very intersting. I could get an extra discount as i know the dealer here as well. But i read the same thing as you say. Thing is other road will set me back 1.5K and don't know if i need it with the set-up i'm going for. For that money there are many other thing i could get first like a haltech or such.

P.s: PWR doesn't show an Infiniti Radiator on there website. Unless they put it under nissan and spell it like: Infinatey, wich i di find on the website......
