As shared in another thread, i replaced the Flowmaster with a GReddy Spectrum Elite Exhaust. The exhaust bolted right on and tips were extended by 3.5 inches.

Picture and sound clip to follow!

Wow, it sounds awesome Pat. How is it in the cabin? Looks great too.

Thanks Andy!

Windows up its the same as the OEM, which was my goal. Cant even hear it anymore cruising on the highway.

Windows down, its not loud but definitely noticeable to the trained ears :top:

It does sound good, nice work. Why am I still running OEM exhaust? Andrew, could I get a setup like this coupled with your tips too, so I don't have to worry about extending it as much, right?

Great sound. What is the part #? Just wondering what extra work needs to be done, besides extending the tips? Let us know

Thanks all for the kind words. Hopefully this mod cures the bug for awhile. Next year i might pick up a cheap (<$2000) junk car just to play around and learn. Will hopefully have more (or less :eek.:) time for the car hobby this summer since i'll be graduated from school and starting employment :top:.

The exhaust is a GReddy Spectrum Elite made for a 2003-2006 G35 coupe. Part #10127956 from Greddy: and a direct link can be found here: http://www.shopgreddy.com/exhaust-headers-dp-en/se/infiniti-g35-se-exhaust.html

The exhaust bolts right on to the midpipe and the hangers are in perfect location. The GReddy exhaust comes with an extra hanger for the g35 thats not utilized by the FX so you can just ignore it.

The tips will have to be extended by 3.5 inches for a flush look with the FX's rear valence. I had the shop weld in 3.5 inches of SS piping. Other folks for a cleaner look had the whole piping from Tip to the Canister re-fabricated to minimize the number of welds. Hope this helps!

Ooooohh! I like it! I'm about to rework mine as well. Unfortunately it's not going to be nearly as pretty as this one... Is the rear section one piece?

EDIT:
Nevermind, I couldn't see the first picture on my phone. I see that it is one piece now... :smile (2):
