hey guys how do u remove this switch, without scratching up the center consule. my seat reclines, but will not move backwards. it's all the way to the front, any help will be much appreciated

I removed mine to repair a problem with the up down function and found a watch battery jammed in the switch. It's been a couple of years since I had it apart but I beleive that there were a couple of screws down on the side of the switch assy. Move the seat to the highest position,It's tight but if you pull the seat cushion back and down some you should be able to get a screwdriver on the two screws. I put a towel over the center counsule to protect it. It's kind of a pain to get the screws out and back in when your done but the only other way would be to pull the whole seat out.

Pulling the whole seat out requires removing 4 bolts. It's a piece of cake. At that point you can rotate the seat enough to access the two screws that mount the switch bay. You don't even have to unplug the wiring under the seat if you don't actually remove the whole assembly.
