A good quality FULL wrap should run you at least $3000. As said in previous post, if you choose to keep it that long, a quality vinyl will last about 5 years but I was told that it should be removed after 3 years to preserve the paint underneath.
Dave, $1700 sounds like one of those prices that sounds to good to be true. A wrap is a lot of work especially if you don't cut corners and you remove the necessary pieces (headlights, tail lights, grille, roof rack, antenna, maybe the bumpers, you get the point) to tuck the vinyl away properly so you don't see the edges. I've seen a few full wraps done, and if they are using quality vinyl like 3M or Oracal, and prepping the car without cutting corners $1700 is a really low price.
