Painted calipers? Need opinions.

Does anyone have theirs painted red? I was leaning toward red as most performance brakes are red. Now that aim reading this thread, I am leaning toward black. I pick up my fx on Friday and it is blue.

I'm thinking about painting my calipers red. I have a black FX, with flat black wheels. I think the red would add a little color to this setup, and match well with the red tail lights. The only question is, where can I have this done? Should I try an auto body shop, or would a brake shop be a better bet?

I think painting the calipers looks cheesy, go with a bbk

I already have the Sport brakes on my FX50, so I thought it would look good to paint them red on my black FX. I saw someone else on this forum with that setup, and it looked really good in my opinion.

Defjamz, with those rims the silver brakes are already visible, so going red would make them look nice I think .

Ive been thinking of a darkish purple, kinda IPL theme. But you cant really see the brake calipers that well on mine anyway. would be mostly a subtle change.

This photo is from Sydney's FX (back when he had it). It might be photoshopped now that I think about it, but you get the concept. I think it looks sweet!

If you already have the akebono bbk, then def you should paint them red

So those covers literally go over your existing brake calipers? Doesn't that build up a ton of heat?
They certainly look cheesy, especially if one of them were to fall off, people would know you're a poser. Kinda like having a toupe lift up in the wind..
