Anyone have any pictures of the stock 18" rims painted/powdercoated? I tried searching for it but I cant find any solid pictures. All I can find are powdercoated/painted 20" stock rims. Also would you recommend paint or powdercoat?

hey thanks guys those pics look great! :top: Now i can finally see that the 18" rims look great painted.

hey fxchosen1, did you paint those yourself or did you get those done at a shop? if you got it done at a shop can you recommend me some places in mass?

I thinking about taking this project myself. Might go with the rattle can method. How can you paint around the center cap emblems? Do they pop off and I can re-apply them using something? Also the wheel weights are inside the rim correct? I think I might do it with the tires still on, but wrapped up.

didn't notice that post, lol
I painted them myself rattle can method lol
you just need to sand them down really well, add primer, then gloss black, then a clear coat
I did 2 coats of primer, 2 coats of paint, and then one coat of clear.
just make sure you take the wheels off when you do them, I know a few people who tried to spray the rims on the car wayy too many drips

Haha no problem man. And yeah the prep work is everything. Sounds good and you remember what paint you used?

not sure exactly on the top of my head but I used the Rust-oleum brand, and oh yeah make sure you get one of those grip things that attaches on top of the can it will seriously save your fingers lol

Hey guys!, new to the forum. I just did black plastidip as a temporary fix for my factory wheels. Ill post a pic after i get 10 posts, what do you guys think of black carbon fiber wrap on the factory 20"s? I have a buddy who will do it for me for about $200.00
