none of my local paint shops have tinted tail lights and i was wondering if anybody knew how much black to mix with the clear to get a decent darkness on your tails, thanx
I painted some on my old car by using spray tint for RC cars. Go to your local hobby shop and ask them for smoke tint aerosol. You may or may not want a clear coat on top of the smoke tint. I did not use the clear coat and mine wore off slowly over about a year's time. I'm not saying it will look as good as if a body shop actually did the work. Its just cheaper. I was happy with the results I got. As far as finding a paint mixture, do you have a Keystone Automotive near you? They are an awesome source for all types of painting products. Good luck.
