Paint Ball anyone?

at that track meet last Saturday we talked about possibly meeting up for some paintballin' fun! We should try and get something going. I've been wanting to get into this... Pierce already has the top of the line paintballin' gun and I think Humberto's got access to one too, so the rest of us will probably get owned but what da heck, right?

I recommend an Ion. They're pretty cheap, I think they're made by Smart Parts... I haven't been into the paintballin world in quite some time, but I do know that they're one of theee best bang-for-your-buck paintball guns. $200-300 should nab you a pretty decent model and it competes with a lot of the high-ends like your good ol' Bob Long Intimidators and WDP Angels...

I personally have a WGP Orracle Autococker, first generation with an E-2 blade

(here it is before installing the E2 and before getting an 8-piece barrel kit :4tongue:)

suppose if I DO end up getting into this... would you recommend or discourage buying used guns? The reason why I ask is... I know certain sports like snowboarding... there are people out there that's gotta have the new board every year... but the design really doesn't change all that much... I've ridden boards from 5 years ago and new ones... and either way... after a run or 2 I'm used to it... and can ride just as good. The point is people sell good used things sometimes... how about PB guns?

Cube is right, ion's are great guns and it was also my first paintball gun.

Ken, you can buy a good used paintball gun because guys that are really into PB tend to upgrade every year.

Actually, I have a basically new upgraded ion for sale if you are interested. Here is a picture.

If he's not interested in your Ion (seems like the perfect setup for him, not too cheap like a Spyder and nowhere near the price of a DM8/Angel/Timi), PM me a price on that whole setup please

Oh btw, I have to get my tank re-certified right? It's been in storage for almost 3 years... and I've had it for about a year or two before that... they have to get a hydrostatic test every 5 years?

Yes, Cube. Usually every 5 years you need to get the tanks re-certified.
