Paddle shifter column covers...European style

In my quest to gather the parts necessary to add the paddle shifters to my '12 FX35 LE, I came across these covers on eBay.

They came from a FX 30dS. This is a European diesel powered FX with RH drive.

The covers look virtually identical except for the length of the bottom set as well as the addition of what they call the "column protector" in the European books. This should fit my column with no problems

I have not tried this set up yet...too cold here in NYC now. This will be a spring project.

Only thing I am needing will be REX's bracket setup. I purchased a complete 370z column with the paddles & harness so Ill be good there.

This is just a heads up for those that are looking for other cheaper alternatives than buying brand new covers...

I recently did the install myself...well worth every cent buying a brand new set of fx50 covers. Fits perfectly... Good luck with install u will 4-5 easy so u dont rush the install

Thanks. Just ordered the bracket from Rex yesterday. Going to wait till it warms up a bit before I tackle it. Taking out the NAV unit will be nerve wracking Im sure!

Its not tough just time consuming. I installed a nav bypass while i had the nav and center console out... To watch movies while the car drives. If u run into any problems just let me know as im local and did it with no problems. Make sure u buy a set of interior removal tools. They like $5 from ebay

Took advantage of some warmer weather over last weekend and got this done. Used Rex's bracket (really nice piece), the paddles from the '09 370z steering column I bought along with the harness that came with it. The European covers fit without a hitch as well.
Nice little feature. Works well when you are getting on to the highway at 40 mph in 7th gear...couple taps the down paddle and you're golden!
