PA15-INFI iPod integration in '08 FX -- cargo area?

Hi guys,

I bought a UsaSpec PA15-INFI iPod unit thinking that it easier to install, because it goes into cargo area, unlike PA15-NIS that goes behind the radio. My '08 FX35 has XM factory integrated.

Well apparetnly it is not easy to get to that XM player in the cargo area. Any advice how to remove that plastic cover under the spare? Factory instruction talk about removing the back door weather strip first -- that seems too involved. Any thoughts?
