Hi everyone,
I’m dealing with an Infiniti QX55 2023g (Canada) and ran into an unusual situation.
Codes present:
TRANSMISSION (TCM)- P272A-00 Motor A.
SHIFT Mdule - P272A-00 T/M range select motor
Important part:
The vehicle has absolutely NO symptoms.
- Engine starts normally
- Car drives perfectly
- All gears engage correctly (P / R / N / D)
- No hesitation, no slipping
- No warning lights affecting drivability
- No codes in ECM
The codes can be cleared, but they return immediately after ignition ON.
At this point it looks more like an electrical / feedback or plausibility issue rather than an actual mechanical failure.
Before replacing any parts, I’d like to ask:
- Has anyone experienced this exact situation?
- What was the root cause in your case?
• Range select motor / actuator?
• Wiring / connector issue?
• Shift module?
• TCM software update?
Trying to avoid unnecessary replacement of CVT components or actuator if possible.
Any real-world experience would be highly appreciated.
