From the pictures it looks like the top portion of the housing bulge is fully covered, but the bottom has the slits.

I can't recall how they did it, but mine was only the 2nd set they tried for the front and I'm pretty sure there was no template involved. It was pretty much do as they tried. shadyjc was the first to get this done. I will have to take a closer look the next time we meet up. Looks good tho Mike!

exactly. most likely when you and shady had yours done, there were no fx precut films yet. here's the shape from their site:

i could've asked them to cover the bottom.maybe r i can trace it later and add it myself.

i told dutch that a few fxers are interested and he asked me to share the slit and gap info.

Mi gusta Mi gusta! Looks really nice! How much did it set you back if you dont mind sharing?

So the gap you are referring to is the gap between the rectangular piece and the circular piece?? It also looks like the edge on the headlights towards the wheel well are not covered.

Sort of hard to tell by the pix.

I wonder what this will look like with the bluish tint

Can you possibly post pictures with your headlights and foglights on? I am curious to see the 15% decrease in light output. Is it noticeable?

you got the idea. if you only order/install the kit, the gaps will be on top and bottom of the turn and side sections. the optic blue is even lighter so it is even less noticeable. i did a quick drive tonight and notice a little reduction in brightness, but i should wait for about a week til the whole thing dries completely. let me see if have good pics with lights on.

here's some update and pics. the tint got a little lighter but not much. for me, this is more on the light medium than light tint. also, it is purple-ish on bright light or sun as you can see on this pic:

speaking of purple, here is a shot with the light on. it is noticeable that my lights are less bright at night. no wonder sticker city would not recommend anything darker.

ill post a few more recent ones on my pic thread.
