Original OEM Radiator Life

Mine cracked at around 120k on FX35
Total cost for DIY was around 250.00......

89.00- Denso Radiator #2213422 (Rock Auto)
9.80- Gates Lower Radiator Hose #22978 (Rock Auto)
10.06- Gates upper Radiator Hose #22977 (Rock Auto)

11.61- Black Billet Radiator cap cover (Ebay) - Ok this was extra ;)

3.82- 2 FX35 Upper Radiator assy mount cushions (Infinitipartsusa)
6.24- 2 FX35 Lower Radiator assy mount cushions (Infinitipartsusa)

also MTN FX, i havnt looked into it yet, but why did you need ATF for a radiator replacement?

Not sure about th 45 but the 35 has a trans cooler line into the radiator. Since I had to open the line there was some fluid loss so
I let it drain overnight then added that amount back to trans when done with work - killed two birds with one stone , trans fluid serviced too :smile (2):
 
The trans fluid also run into a separate tank in the radiator on the FX45 for cooling just like the FX35. Topping off the ATF is needed.
 
I don't think it's that common or any more common than on any other car. Radiator end tanks are plastic, it goes through thousands of heat cycles over the years and it's under pressure and vibration. Radiators fail on all cars with age.

good to know when my time comes, im just glad we can top it off from the top where the tranny dip stick it at
