Ordering Headlights from ROck Auto for my Wifes VW Golf

Do most cars come with a seperate low and high beam headlight or is the low and high in one bulb? I am ordering headlights from RAuto for my wifes 08 VW Golf? So, do I need to order just 2? One for each side? Thanks!!!

It depends. For example the FXs headlight have the dual stage bulb where high and low beams are emitted by the same bulb. I believe most HID/xenon lights are like that. Cant answer for a golf, but just turn your high beam lights on and you'll be able to see if the high beams are a seperate bulb

A golf did not have a hid option. Only the gti/gli

What size is your bulb? Like h7 h1 9007.
