I'm looking at Halo options for my 05' FX35. I was originally going to go for the color changing Halo rings which would force me to get the color shift Halo Kit. But then I realized that chances are I will never change the color from white...I didn't mind the look of the separate LED's but I prefer the solid look.

I was wondering if anyone has purchased the "Plasma LED" line from Oracle. It looks like it's the best of both worlds (Solid bar of light with the brightness of the LED's).

I am skeptical though because I don't want to get Halo's that will break within two months :/

Also, I'm in the NY area. I don't feel like baking my headlights in the oven and all that stuff so I was wondering if anyone knows of a good lighting shop thats reasonably priced in the area. I saw OneEighty NYC. I have to call them but I like to have more then one option :)

thanks guys.

OneEighty is very reputable and well known, with that comes their RAPE ass prices. Seriously, I'm all for paying money for quality work, but seeing people shell out $2k for a set of headlights with pretty basic levels of work is a bit ridiculous.

The problem with OneEighty's business model, when I was looking at doing something with them, was that they would charge you for a set price for each modification, neglecting the fact that if they were already inside your headlights to paint them, adding halos is a minimal extra amount of work.

Lol well 180 is off the list then. I would rather spend the time and do it my self. It's NYC though I'm sure I can find someone else that's reasonably priced. I am in no rush to get it done since it's only aesthetics. I would even go into Jersey [emoji33]

I think Lightwerkz is out of NJ or NY, can't remember. I would go to hidplanet forums and look, there are a ton of vendors there and there is lots of feedback so it helps with decision making. LED halo's are much more reliable than CCFL and there is less to go wrong. No ballast box or anything to hide/break either.

Honestly it's so easy that I would recommend DIY. For the price that most places charge for the work, you could almost buy a spare set of used headlights if you mess up. If I was getting crazy LED work done or something, I'd consider paying. But for something as basic as halos and maybe painting, you can DIY. Taking the headlights off is probably the hardest part and it's not hard. The baking takes ~10 minutes and prying them apart is not delicate work.

Yeah I've removed my headlights before for bumper work so that I'm not worried about. I was concerned with baking and re-sealing. I don't want condensation build up after I'm done. Plus I want to paint the inside as well. Chances are I will end up pushing this project till the end of winter and doing it my self but I figured if I found a reasonable price I will just pay for it. Thanks for the info though. I'm gonna check out the other forum now.
