Opinions on my (soon to be) smoked lights? + Plastidipped emblems.

Hey guys any thoughts? What do you guys think about this 20% tint on my lights? What do you guys think about my dipped emblems? Should I dip anymore?

I think the 20% tint will look good.
I went from using vinyl tint to actually VHT spraying the tails.
If you're not going to tint them then you should try tinting the reverse lights and adding LED bulbs in them.

As for dipping, you can try dipping the INFINITI words on the chrome back plate

Mine has a medium tint, not sure what %, yours looks close to mine, love it. The tails are reeeeeeeallllly red

Don't tint them with film, they will bubble up and look like shit. Have them sprayed at a body shop.

How did you dip the emblems? Do you have to take them off the car? Or just cover all around the letters to protect them?

no man i just masked off around the emblem and made a rectangle. i dipped 4-5 coat and i just peeled the leftover.

i have the 6/10 vinyl overlay. Had them on for few months now and no bubbling up. I guess it just depends who installed them. This pic makes the tail look really dark but it's more like cherry red

i did a part of it myself but had a shop to put the rest on.. if you never installed overlays before, i'd recommend getting a shop that knows how to do it.. especially the edge of the taillight that has a part that protrudes out, that's the bitch to do.

edit, regular window tint won't work.. needs to use vinyl overlay because of the protruded edge.. it needs a lot of stretching.. window tint can't stretch

i havent installed overlays but i have wrapped a couple things before. i think I would be fine because mine is a vinyl tint thing. doesnt require water to install it to the light.

screw the vinyl. just bought VHT Nite shades I will post pics later.

VHT Nite Shade. All Lights are visible and it looks great. did about 3 light coats. cant wait to drive her tommorow!
