Opinions On 24's?

yeah, it all depends on the look that one is going for? If 24's is your style then you should go for it. Just personally I think that 22's looks best on an FX.

Personally if you cannot lower your car on the rims then it is too much riding high is not safe and you cannot manuever the way you want. Stick with 22's I was looking for some 23's so I can stay lowered and fill up that wheel well and unitl I find some then it is 22's

1 more vote for 22". I have seen 24" on FX and it does not look that good at all. Unless, pimping is your style :P

man all of you guys are stuck in the stone age...22's aint fresh on a fx, you guys sit here and talk alll this madness about 24's, i have 24's on mine and i dont have any problems...i got one word for everyone on here....HATERS!!! dont believe the hype my man, 24's are the way to go....22's are for the boys....

and how could u honestly say 22's look better than 24's??? makes nooo kind of sense....24's look like they actually fit the whole wheel well...22's almost look stock....stop the BS

To each his own I guess :laugh:

I don't think this should be made a big issue. We all have our own tastes. Every FX on here has it's own personality. Wether it has 18's, 20's, 22's or 24's.

Yes, people are saying issues with rubbing and what not with the 24's. I'm thinking that they are saying about rubbing if the FX is lowered on 24's. I have not seen a lowered FX on 24's. Do any of you have a pic of a lowered FX on 24's?

Lets just keep this clean guys.

Nicely said Carlos - I see a future mod.......:top:

Exactly I am not knocking the 24's it is not about baller status because getting the right wheels aint about money it's about what you like. Until I can get my fx lowered and put some two fours on it. then we can talk (if it aint dropped then I can't ride it).

I first had 22s and thought they were a tad small but I think its just the style I bought that I didn't like. I went to 24's and they were huge. I ended up wrecking them.. Then went back to stock 20s then to some 20" GT-Rs and I love them way more than my 24s or any of the other wheels I bought.

Heres a pic of 24s lowered.. I had no rubbing or anything at all. Braking was just a little harder to do.

"...I went to 24's and they were huge. I ended up wrecking them.."

two reason right there not to get 24's... 1) very easy to damage... 2) even lowered, the front has a big gap... which means, if you wanted the right look, you'd have to (perhaps) cut the springs to go even lower, thus dealing with a... even harsh-er ride...

glad you're happy with the 20s :top:

what size and offset you rocking on them 24's looks flush some I am going to say 18. Those look sick and I like the look but I don't think I would want to deal with the headaches (might just put them on for the summer and trade my 22's

Not enough tire for my taste.22's seem to fit the look on the FX's best in my opinion.

to me 24's would look good if the fx is bagged & can be slammed to where there tucked & laying rocker... with standard suspension it's got that donk kinda look on most sets of 24's I've seen, but, then again there was one guy here with a black fx with black 24's that actually looked pretty good for some reason, most don't to me though

for me personally, a general rule is, wheel gap must be at most no more than equal to side wall height. with a really tiny sidewall you really have to have a really tiny gap or less for it to look right... 24's will need either bags or cut lowered springs AND further mods to the struts & rear lower arms to bring it even lower to look right... with the right stance I think 24's can look good, but with the average stance I think they generally don't look good in most cases... to me & my eye anyway, but, as been said before, if you like it that's all that really matters... if you care weather the majority like it though then reconsider...
