Old newbie

Hello to all. Owned my 2003 Black FX35 with tech package since new. My wife drove it for 5 years passed on to my daughter for 5 years now with a 138k and no issues I decided I would keep rather than sell. I have been a car guy my entire life and belong to many performance forums. Now that I am retiring I need a new toy to tinker with & this will be my first import to play with. Of course I will be looking at previous & new posts for info on how to's & what not's. Dennis

Welcome to IS! Happy to hear you had it for ten years and no issues. That's pretty amazing. So much you can do here, so enjoy the ride (again) and tinker away!

Thanks for welcome. Amazing car so far. Probably due in part to wife & daughter being easy on cars in general. I will probably be putting it to work a bit more. In very near future I will be looking for a cat back as oem exhaust & shielding is showing signs it is close to that time. Along with that a cold air will probably be in order as first performance mods. Like I said this is first import I will be toying with. I am very familiar with Corvettes & currently own a 2004 SVT Lightning that is awsum but useless in ice & snow. My FX35 is awd so this should be fun retirement small project. Any Recommendations on exhaust cold air appreciated. Thanks Again Dennis

Stillen CAI hands down. Invidia and Stillen dual exhausts are pretty good. Stillen is pricey when new

Warm welcome to :iS: Dennis. Your brief description is a testemonial to the reliability of the FX. As for your questions one of the most popular CAI used by members is the Stillen CAI along with the z-tube. As for exhausts, most members here uses, Invidia, Stillen, Nismo and ARK Performance.

Other members here can chime in.
