I just noticed this leak this morning. I got my oil change done at my dealer couple 100 miles ago. (they have a synthetic oil specials ) So this morning I went to check on my refished headlights and noticed this when I moved my car.67e6f265014b0df57f4ac30d6442ea34.jpg
I was getting really paranoid for a sec and then my dipstick level was just below the 2nd hole. so a bit lower than how much it usually burns. I just jacked up my car and first thing i see is this...55710b2e9384afadeabaad47fc2374db.jpg
This couldnt have NOT been there on my last oil change so they didnt tell me there was a leak. Looking closer I thought it was the Oil cooler gasket at first then I saw alot of buildup around the pan where it is sealed. I dont know why infiniti doesnt use a gasket...
Here are some more pics. What do you guys think it is? This is a 2010 FX35 HR with 100k miles. Yes its been "burning" oil since like 20k miles.

You can see on this picture on the left side, where the side of the pan is, there is lots of oil buildup 30e1db89455ef546dda7871e40da836e.jpg51c313a742e52dd30e075155431e7d39.jpgc3b3844e0cc4a35e6c0c102676fd54d2.jpg

Wipe it all down real good then see if you can narrow down location.

Yeah, some people prefer that; but rock auto should sell a pre cut gasket (Fel Pro) for the oil pan.. at least on the 1st fens they do

Just checked it again. There is no residue on the oil cooler itself its just dripping to the oil pan. That may be where it is coming from though. Im going to take it to my buddy's shop to put it on the lift and replace whatever it is. Too much of a mess to do it in my apartment garage.

And I keep checking the dipstick and it doesnt look like the oil level is dropping to much. It is a little bit under the second dot.

just got the car in the air and left it idling. it was definitely coming from the oil cooler. The seal is here now time to get it on!
