Oil change interval on a 2004 FX

pureones are a MUST. Mainly due to the cost and how well they work VS others.

Oil are debatible. I've used Castrol GTX, Napa Syn, Mobil 5000, soon to be Castrol Syntec. You want more info about oil then you ever need... head over to bobistheoilguy.com

Royal purple isn't bad but you pay a prem for all their advertisment. They are not any better then Redline oil and Amsoil oil. THey are just more $$$.
 
I don't want to think about oil too much technically. I've visited bobistheoilguy before, but its a little too hardcore for me, lol. I kind of look at oil like gas. There are certain tiers that I consider higher grade gas than others. I usually fill up Shell V-Power only. But at times if Shell is not available, I will fill up at Mobil or BP. Only those three. For motor oil, I'm sure there are a lot of good ones out there, but I stick with Mobil 1 syn because its tried and true. It also helps to solidify my choice that Porsche and AMG vehicles leave the factory filled Mobil 1 too.
