Oil and tire maintenance settings

Hello guys I changed my oil today and changed my tires yesterday. I have a 2001 FX35 and it doesnt have the navigation system. I hit the button that say maintenance and it scrolls thru to oil and tires. Its then shows a line that say dist 7500 and a line that says now with a large number on it. When I hit enter the 7500 flucuates between 0 and 7500. How dod I set this up the way I would like it is the a proceedure somewhere for this to set it to like 5000 or what. Thanks
 
Welcome to the Scene. To answer your question, once you get to and highlight the oil change interval tab just move the joystick left until you get it down to 5k.
