I've always gone by this....although its not application specific, Purolator seems to be on the top in most tests.

This is why I didn't choose Purolator...because it filters soooo much that tests have found that it can hinder performance. Mobil 1 extended seems to be the best filter with best performance and what I've been using because of it.
Anyone tried Magna Filter magnetic filter adapter.

This reminds me of when I bought my last Corvette, there was a magnet as big around as the filter, stuck on the end of the filter....sort of sounds like the same idea, just way more expensive

I like royal purple, right now they have a promo that if you buy 5 quarts they give you a free filter. I bought mine on amazon.

I personally like using Castrol Syntech oil and K&N oil filters.
