Just did somthing that is literally freakin me out and i am soooo upset that i did it!!!
While i was accelerating the FX, i "thought" i was in tiptronic mode, so i thought i should shift up but then i hit Neutral!!!!! and i saw the revs come really close to the limiter! :mad.:Thats not the worst part! I freaked out and put it back to Drive at 4000rpms and heard a "thump" :eek.: .... the car is running fine BUT i am soooo scared .... can anyone plzzz tell me that it might just not be that bad? (yes i know its lame BUT it will help me from jumping off the roof with this computer)
 
it's fine, don't worry... if it still feels & drives fine then no damage done, bet you won't do that again though :)
 
weve all done it once or twice. Likely hurts you more than the car
 
lol... done that MANY times during my racer boy days. well they werent too far back either.

going to hope that if my engine decides to kaboom it better do it soon while im still under warranty
 
You should be fine and not worry to much, these engines are very robust even if you did hit red line there is a rev limiter to prevent you from damaging the engine. You would basically be pinging the rev limiter if anything which doesn't damage anything just don't make it a habit like someone mentioned before.
 
thnks guys, ironicaly when i was tailing another FX35 he did the same thing and he started to freak out as well :smug: ... btw i have always hated the fact that we have to shift from D to the right side instead of the left .... if a friend is sitting next to me, i somtimes bump my hand into them (if its a girl, im good , but a dude ... no thnk you)
