***Official painted/powder coated stockers thread***

MTN FX thanks for the step my step directions really needed that I am in the process of painting my stock wells I don't know wether to do a graphite color or a gloss black color but I'm super excited any tips you can give me I sanded all of old paint down with 80grit I will be doing my primer / filler tomorrow

Elite ripped me off and never balanced my wheels correctly twice. Paint job on my center caps was sprayed with black spray paint. Paid 100 dollars extra to have the center caps painted but not like that.

I'm also curious what a set in excellent condition with new all seasons are worth. I have a set sitting in my garage.

If you have the storage space, i'd say keep them. Switch back so u dont get tired of looking at the same thing over and over

How have some of those painted sets been holding up? Is rustoleum rattle-can-done-right good quality over time?

What's the best way to strip the clear coat out of the powder coated rims? I got some curb rash and the clear coat peeled so I'm going to strip the clear out of of them and plasti dip them that way it's even when I spray them with plastidip.

Unless it's a big gouge, plasti dip covers small stuff really well. Might want to do a test before going they the effort of stripping.

I have had my OEM 21's Powder-Coated Hyper Black for over a year now and love the outcome. This finish really seems to stand up, I took the wheels off today to give them a thorough cleaning inside and out. There was no crud or brake dust build up on them at all, and what was there just washed right off, even the inside that have not been cleaned in a year, look like new.
