Hey everyone.

So, I'd like to get a thread going where members (new and old) can read posts on the various light setups people have such as LED, HID, etc.

Please use this format:

I'll start:

Car Model: 2007 Infiniti M35x
Low Beam: H1 6000k 55W Digital HID Kit from DDM Tuning
High Beam: 9005 Sylvania Xtravision Halogen Bulbs
Fog Light: H11 3000k 35W Digital HID Kit from DDM Tuning
Interior: No other work but planning full LED upgrade
Exterior: License plate lights and reverse lights converted to LED - rest coming soon
Other Information: I had issues with my low beam flickering and having issues starting. DDM replaced one of the ballasts and then I still had issues so they told me to buy a $35 harness that went from the battery to the OEM connections and then went to the bulbs. This fixed all of my issues and I've been fine since.

I will call this the "cheap mans" lighting upgrade mod. Everything purchased was from ebay, total spent for Low beams and Hid fogs was $55 with free shipping. I will probably regret being cheap later.

Car Model:
2008 Infiniti M45
Low Beam: D2S 6000K (ebay $12)
High Beam: Stock
Fog Light: H11 6000K Xentec Slim (ebay $33)

I have no idea how to take night shots.

What kind of camera do you have? Is it a DSLR? If so I can tell you. Otherwise, it should have a 'night' mode.

Basically...you need to set your shutter speed to a really slow one (like 2" +- - it's usually probably like 1/10-1/1000 on most cameras) and keep the camera SUPER steady. Shaking will result in a very blurry image as the shutter is open that long and captures every movement. Also, to combat this you can set the shutter to a faster speed (like 1") but turn the ISO setting up. I shoot everything on ISO 100 because it's the least graniest, but if you change it to like ISO 800, your picture will be brighter...thus allowing you to make the shutter faster because you don't need to capture so much light.

Hope you understood all that lol.

I just have a point and shoot. It has some settings but not sure on what to put it at. So ISO = 100, what is min. shtr speed? and my exposure can only do -2 to +2, what would you recommend?

Hmm...what kind of camera?

I'm not sure what your minimum shutter speed, but you'd probably want a higher (not highest) ISO and a lower shutter speed/high exposure. That should give you enough light for night time shots.
