Official iS Paintball Outing!

Well it seems that there is some interest in a paintball outing from some of our local iS members here in socal. So I decided to set something up for Sat. May 17th. It would be great to get local members out and have a good old time splattering each other with some paint. Depending on how many people we get we can have our own private group or if we don't then we will most likely have to join the LARGE general public group. Private group party would be ideal and best for the first timers. There is a slight premium $$ for this over the general group walk-on's but you end up playing more and having a better overall experience. Friends and family are welcome too as that will give us a larger group and hopefully get a private group party together.

Here are a few places I have in mind;

http://hollywoodsports.com/PAGES/paintball.html
http://www.fieldoffire.com/
http://www.warpedpaintballpark.com/
http://www.paintballpark.name/index.html
http://www.conquestpaintball.com/

These are located all over socal but it would probably be best to find a field that is centrally located to everyone or there abouts. Check the fields out and let me know what you guys think and if you have any questions.

Here is who we have confirmed so far;

ok here is a list...

1. Jeans or painter's pants, thick socks, cap, head bands
2. NO muscle shirt or tang tops
3. Long sleeve shirt or thick t-shirt with an undershirt
4. Extra cloths so you don't get paint all over your FX on the way home, lol. But these paints dry pretty fast and they are all biodegradable.
5. Tennis shoes or cleats for traction...you will be surprised how much you slip/slide
6. You can rent the equipment(gun, feeder, air tank, etc....) there but I suggest you buy a mask and not rent one as it is sooooo unsanitary. Also, you will have to purchase paintball's there, but we can buy by the case and split it.
7. depending on which park we go to the quality of the facilities vary greatly so come prepared with an ice chest with LOTS of water/liquids.
8. Best to pack your own lunch too as food is also not that great, but this also varies by park.

This is what happens if you think you are mucho macho! My friend wore a muscle shirt the very first time he went out to PB mostly due to the heat,but after the day did he ever regret that decision, lol. I was warned prior to my first time so I never got welts this big or this many but they hurt like a @#%$%&@#!

since this isn't technically a "car meet" per se... I may not bring the FX, especially if we ended going somewhere far away...

i really used to love paintballing but i havent gone in a while. some of the places around here are really great with tactical set ups its very "navy seals" kinda thing. i have a 98 custom with a few mods but nothing really special. i wanted to convert it to a scenario gun for woodsball and get an ion for speedball...never got around to doing it though.

i always wore a pair of shorts with sweatpants on top. for my upperbody a tank top under, then a thin longsleeve shirt and a t-shirt on top. not too much and still very breathable and light. you can get really sweaty and exhausted playing.

Yea, there are some insane tactical guns out there. But too heavy for regular paintball but would be awesome for some big scenario games!

Thick socks as in sweat socks...nothing overly thick.

Gloves are a good idea...forgot about that. Good call Cube.

I was always fine with thin ankle socks, never had an issue playing indoors, outdoors, muddy, dry, etc.

Just wore a great pair of water-proof and extremely comfortable Timberland low-cut hiking boots. Still have 'em back in Chicago for outdoor paintballin :rofl:
