"cartoonish"? I'm just glad it wasn't the same design team as the guys that designed this...

Looks nice but it has too many lines in common with the Maxima.

I had an explosion in my pants over this concept:

I think it's as boring as a big saloon gets. If I had the money, I'd rather go get a Merc S550 (or even 350) vs this one. At least that one is more interesting to look.. This is just a fucking Maxima copycat with "lines from Essence".. Fuck you Infiniti for fucking up that gorgeous GT and coming up with another boring car.. I'll go drive my bimmer now :tonguey:

wow, all th hype and a big let down! The interior and rear looks good but the side and front is very disappointing. Whats with duplicating the EX lines for the profile?!?!?

as for the Maxima look ... didnt Infiniti used to introduce a new model 1st then Nissan?
...dont get me wrong, still a nice car Im sure, but like Dr2k said "what a let down"

I don't make judgments base on internet photos anymore... cuz lately, there's been some cars that I didn't like at first (from internet pics), then I saw it in person and like it or love it...

Boring... plain...

Bring the Essence out for us to drool over. I think this new M is a step down. I'd gladly take the older generation.

i like those M pics trainerKEN put up, my beef was with the shitty unveiling at pebble beach...way over-hyped, it was just a projector with fuzzy images of a car from 1 angle...

I know I said I try not to make judgment base on internet pics... but I'm leaning towards liking it... the only thing I don't agree with Infiniti is this... very early unveiling. I mean... take the Z for example... they kept it under lock and key for the longest time, then... there were the "spy shots"... which in my theory aren't really "spy shots", I sometimes believe they are released by a car company, disguised as spy shots for free internet publicity... But as a marketing strategy... I think they shouldn't have done what they did yet... The car's not due to come out til Spring of 2010' and it's only August. Now, the "mystery" is gone...

but one thing for sure is... Once again... Infiniti has come out with another "Love it or Hate it" design

Oh, and... I still think Nissan/Infiniti should do a performance line... like how BMW has the "M's" and MB has their "AMG's"... etc etc... Even Lexus has the IS-F... But something more than just some bolt-ons, like the Z's "Nismo" edition. Limit the production and people will buy it.

it looks alright. I neither love it nor hate it. I don't like the fact that it looks like a big G sedan though, mostly in the side profile. I'll wait to see it in person.
