**Official - FX's spotted**

my wife hates that I simply refuse to park sometimes in some lots.... I'd rather walk several blocks if I had to:tongue: she really gets on my case about this sometimes but she already knows... anytime she wants to go somewhere my first question is, well, hows the parking?

I thought you weren't supposed to drag the drive wheels? So AWD or RWD that's a bad idea. lol

in neutral & not too far distance, local type low speeds, it might not hurt anything if it's rwd, but awd would be a disaster even short distance...

but yeah, towing with the drive wheels on the ground even as a rwd isn't the best idea really anyway...

Dude looked nervous as he was pulling it away & probably knew. I should have asked him.

I wonder where the owner was at? So if us 35ers need to get towed we should be getting towed backwards right?

Nope.... Flatbed all the way!!! insist on it and make sure you tell them it's a luxury car and you will not allow them to tow your vehicle with a cherry picker.

yeah, if you ever need a tow, and you're talkin' to roadside assistance or AAA or whatever demand a flatbed, if they say that there aren't any towing service nearby with a flatbed then tell them they WILL be responsible for the damages... when my Acura was lowered with 19" Work Wheels (3pc forged), I had to resort to an aggressive demand on the phone (had a flat on the freeway)

awd flatbed only!!! a rwd can be towed from the rear safely though, but even so, a flat bed is always best... unless the guy doesn't chain it well... had a few cars fall off the beds every now & again...

worse case I know of was a customer with an m3, calls bmw roadside, they send out a third party flatbed that then procedes to drop the m3 off the truck while moving... hits a parked car with it & everything, then re hooks it & brings it in to bmw... bmw didn't want to know anything, they said hey take it up with the tow truck... even bmw of north america washed there hands of it saying it was an independant, don't matter that they were contracted by a bmw dealer, and that it was a bmw roadside asistance call, still in litigation that one, I fixed the M3 though:tongue:

That's messed up.... I would have ripped the tow truck driver a new one on the side of the road then proceeded to throw him into traffic!!!!

wow, just read that guys thread... what a shame... lucky he had add'l insurance & look at the beast he built now, if any good coulda came from that his new roadster is siiiick.......

you'd be surprised how common it is for cars to fall off a towtruck.... towtruck drivers are not usually the most caring folks around...

That really suks big time. BMW really does deserve a law suite on that one!

they are being sued & they may wind up having to take the car back completely... over a year later there now fighting over what they want to give for the car though... problem is the guy modded the hell out of it, so much that BMW even refused to fix the damages from falling off the truck even, they said too much was non oem... they then towed it to me & I fixed the damages...

BMW is regarding it as the kid depreciated the value of the car by modding it & want to give him less than it's worth stock, while the kid is looking for the cost of the car plus everything he added... he don't want the car anymore...

BTW, the actual fight with BMW to take the car back has nothing to do with it falling off the truck... the car has a problem of just all of a sudden almost acting like it's out of gas... check engine light & no power eventual stall... it's been into them many times & they can't fix it, it was actually going in on roadside assistance for this very issue when they dropped it off the truck in the first place:tongue:

they blamed everything from the k40 radar to the huge system in the trunk as the culprit, but still can't fix it even when they disconnect everything....

kids had no luck with his car... sucks to spend a small fortune & have nothing but headaches... in the 3 years he's owned it it has been out of his possession as much as it has been in his possession

Just came from picking my daughter up from practice and saw a baby blue FX parked, sittin on 24's trimmed in baby blue. I drove up and saw the drive getting out and asked him if he has ever heard of IS. It turned out to be TheCandyman. His FX is sharp!!! Loved it!!

I should be more like Dave and carry a camera with me at all times.

Saw this FX on the Discovery Channel. Apparently it also has a sense of humor :xd:
