Off-road LED lights

ah, so you'll be one of 'those guys' with the giant off-road LED bar, lower LED fogs... in a car that is not very capable off road ;) (I joke)

LED bars are the new HID fogs.

Myron - thanks. i hope the weather holds up this weekend so i can finish the install. all of the mounting hardware came with the light except for the 90 degree bracket.

Gicastro - i initially thought the same but i think the final product will be too far off the from the mock-up picture.

i'll be sure to get pictures up once done.

Update, I finally got them mounted and wires in the engine bay wired. Now I cannot figure out the best place to bring the 3 wires for the switch into the cabin. I've read and saw there is a big chunk of wires going into the cabin behind the battery. Is that a good spot and easy to maneuver? Any other spots on the firewall that you recommend?
I ran of out day light so the project will continue tomorrow.

here are few shots:

looks really good. lucky you can install it where you did, that mount place is not possible on my car :(

can you take some pictures at night so we can see what it looks like when it's lighting up the night?

Thanks! It was a pain to install though.
Is there something already in that spot on your car?
The sensor for the tech package is there (IBA, ICC) is located on the drivers side and it is almost as wide as your led.

Oh ok, I didn't realize it was on that side. I thought the sensor was in that aluminum dome like object that's welded to the bumper on the passenger side, what is that?

Its the radar used for adaptive cruise control and intelligent brake assist. A little $3000 device about the size of one of your LEDs, sits exactly where you installed your left one, and it shouldn't be blocked. So The alternative is a roof mounted one - which would make the car look like an African Safari vehicle lol

Is that the tow hook mount? Trying to think of what else is on the passenger side shaped like a dome. The ICC sensor is rectangular.

So this morning I drove through a forest during snow storm, it was a 3 hour drive, and all I could think about was these lights and how much they would help.

Ha, it never hurts to have more lights! If you can retro fit something for your first gen that would be awesome.
I'm in Maui HI on vacation but will get some shots up when I get back. Before I left I was messing around with the angling, plays suck a huge role in getting the light out there. This light is extremely bright and lights up the entire road near and far but thinking about swamping them out for 6000k vs the 6500k I have now. It's just a thought but we'll see. The 6500k is a touch too blue for my liking. I know some love the hint of blue and they see better with them, each their own.

yea I am gonna have to look into this for sure. Do they come with some kind of covers? In the summer I never need these so I would wanna cover them up and prevent possible damage to them from rocks and such. Also to hide them in the bumper somehow.

No cover with these but definitely shop around for other brands that fit your needs.

I was in touch with Auxbeam and wanted to see if I can exchange my light for a different K light and they wouldn't do it because I was pass 14 days from order date. I was at 29 days. I understand they have their term preprinted but 14 days is a bit absurd if you ask me. It already takes about 4-6 days to receive item .
